I have a 94 gt. The ABS light has been on for about a year now and i have no idea why. i have a dianosic tool and it would not read the code for me. So i can not get the code. I have cleaned where the ABS sensors are and nothing. It worked for like 10 min. But it only comes on when i do alot of brakeing. But if i do not do alot of brakeing it does not come on. I am confussed and irritated. Someone please help me. I have not been able to get it inspected for the reason the ABS light is on.

Any advice.

is it the abs light or the brake light? if it's the brake light, you might just be low on fluid.
where are you connecting to read the abs codes. i think it's somewhere under the dash but not the obdII port. hopefully someone else knows for sure.

Take it to a shop that can test the ABS system.

When mine came on it was the right front ABS sensor that was causing it. Replaced it and all was well.

Make sure your master cyl. level is full, and there's no debris or anything near any of the sensors. If that doesn't work then i would
try a local shop (like already mentioned) and have them check it out for you.

Yeah. I have a similar problem but its only when my car is cold. The problem is if I drive it to the shop it usually turns off. Why would it only go off when the car is cold?

You may have some buildup on the ABS ring i would suggest taking off the wheel and cleaning everything up. Did this happen after you put the Coilovers in ???

When I put on my front coilovers the sensors looked fine. And it was happening last year even... When I brought it to the brake shop they told me everything was okay. It pisses me off.

You should be able to get the code yourself, the connector you need is between the battery and the fuse panel under the hood on the drivers side, not the one the passenger side. I had to make a wire extension for the single wire that needs ground though. It's a tight fit n there but you can get to it.
