Okay so im getting my mustang ready for the summer season, and my battery was dead. So i jumped it with a portable car jumper, and it sparked and it must have shorted something out because the following list of things dont work.

Speedometer, dash clock, power locks (will lock but wont unlock), radio, fog lights.

I checked all of my fuses inside the car, and also all of the fuses in the power distribution center, and everything is fine. is there a main circuit breaker somewhere that would do this?. i searched through my hanes book and it didnt give me any ideas. thanks in advance.

usually if the battery sparks it would blow the main fuse and you would just change that out. I'm almost positive that you wouldn't have blown a fusible link wire by just doing that.

I've never seen a main circuit breaker or anything on our cars. Did you check both fuse boxes? the one for the dash should be under the hood if I'm not mistaken

it's gotta be something with a fusible link if you check all the fuses. one of the wires must've melted or something :dunno:

I'd take the gauge console out and see if any of the wires look terrible and then do a continuity check. You can find where all the wire are in the haynes manual. I'm looking at it right now too lol 12-2 is where the fuses and fusible links and circuit breakers it says that ci"circuit breakers protect power windows power door locks and headlights most of the circuit breakers are locted in the passenger compartment fuse box. on some models the circuit breaker resets it self automatically, so an electrical overload in a circuit breaker protected system will cause the circuit to fail momentarily then come back on.
