no this is not an intervention btw.

I got this extra steering wheel column with a grey steering wheel on it and i want to take off the wheel, but i dont have a wheel puller that works, are there any tricks to get it off. I got the one that was installed on the car off just by undoing everything then yanking hard on it. But since the uninstalled wheel is not in the car, i cant keep it from moving.

please help

Unbolt everything and hit it (not too hard) with a rubber mallet or similar.

On the backside of the outer ring of the wheel. Be careful, the steering wheel is not super strong and it's very possible you'll just break the thing.

Do you have a fixed vice that you could bolt the column to instead?

Do the AutoZone tool rental thing. I replaced my wheel with a FR500 this week. The tool was a $13 rental and I received every cent back the next day. Better than risking damage to it.

you def dont need a puller... i just replaced mine like 2 months ago... just undo everything and hit the backside towards to... it will come off after like three hits... to put the new one on, just push it in and if you want to hit the center with a hammer to make sure its snug... YOU DO NOT NEED TO SPEND MONEY TO PULL IT OFF
