too many changes going on and can't figure out what would look good. So I am nearing the end of my media player project and I have painted the green stripe under the flocking inside the consol, and want to make a custom cover to match.

The current cover was made to match the parking brake boot that also has a green vinyl strip in it so the consol cover has two because the brake lines up with the line on the passenger side. So I am going to have a new brake boot make just out of napa black leather with grey stiching to match the seats, as well as a new consol cover with a single stripe down the middle to match the painted one inside. I have also been planning on covering the door inserts(the perferated vinyl piece where your elbow rests on 98 and under) and been debating what style I should do those in. I have always liked the diamond pleated look that people put in as a classy touch, and when/if the center portion of my seats needs to be redone that will probably be the style. Because of this I am considering getting the inserts with the diamond pleat(black leather with grey stitching) as well as the consol cover but just not sure. I have considered trying to add the stripe to the insert as well as I could paint the green line on the already gloss-black painted door pull for a neat look but not sure if I should do just the stripe, just the pleat, or both?

Here is what the green stripe looks like on the shifter as well as painted onto the black dash to show what it would look like plain although I would be using a different black leather to match the seats, probably as well with a light grey stitching as well to match these seats.

Now the diamond plete design looks like this.

That would be in the light thread and would not go across the green, just the black.

OR it would just be the diamond stitch on the napa-black leather.....

Or else I had considered just 3-4 panels stitched up made at the same angle as the division between the door pull and the insert just for something simple.

I am torn really like I said eventually when the suede wears out I would like to have it redone with the diamond stitching. I like the design but not sure if its all too much. Then again remember that my doors will be decked out with a 9" woofer, plexi/polished aluminum and some led lighting so this little bit might not look all that much over the top....

But, thanks for your opinions as I value them on the car and not sure what I think yet.

Scott if I'm reading this all correctly.. Your wanting to pleat the seats, doors, and the center console? If so I think I would do what your picture shows, just the door and seats. Don't do the center console, leave that how it is. I think that would be way too much pleat personally. Otherwise I think it would look pretty damn cool with your abilities to make shit happen

the seats would eventually be done but at the moment they are staying the way they are which is why I considered doing the consol cover now with the inserts.

Your not going to hurt my feelings thanks again.
