I agree with you. I've spent a short time in Paris a few years back and got to the same conclusion.

France is pretty difficult for tourists. French are French and they don't care about anything but France. We both don't speak much French and often waiters etc. don't speak anything but French. It's always a challenge. The bad thing about being a Dutchman in France is that they think you are German. French people don't really like Germans (beceuze of ze war, you kneuw) so we have to make them clear we're Dutch and that makes them more friendly. But French people LOVE Mustangs, so that helps. And generally in the small towns people are very friendly. And the food is just terrific.

Thanks everybody for the comments!

Paris is the most beautiful city in the world, every waiter in Paris speaks english...every single one! If you are polite..very polite they will help you out, if your a rude american they will act like they dont know what you are saying.

I love this thread, awesome car and documentary of the trip

Man I bet this car really stands out in europe! I've only been to Spain and Portugal. I found that the majority of the cars were little boring cars, once and awhile I'd see a hot hatch that stood out to me but nothing much. But the motorcycles! Especially in Madrid were so cool!

I found that Madrid was kind of the same. I thought it would be very tour friendly. I had a few people get mad at me cause I spoke English and my Spanish wasn't very good. The Portuguese were extremely nice for the most part and all knew English too.

Cobra with a pony front emblem ?

The cobra snake emblem never come stock in the grill of a cobra until after the production of the SN95 was stopped.

Every SN95 cobra that you see with the snake emblem in the grille, had been changed out at one point in time.
It's just so widely done, that most people think the snake emblem was supposed to be there from the factory, and it wasn't.

It certainly got a lot of attention. This pic I took after climbing a lighthouse and looking down at the car, finding some random people discussing about it

Would really like to see some go-pro footage, thinking of picking one up for my Florida trip but am not 100% swayed over that or the sony action cam yet.

Working on it. The film itself is really good, but I haven't been able to get the sound right. The rumble of the Mustang is too low, or something.

Excellent, keep us updated please. This year I did Derby to Folkestone, Channel Tunnel, then Calais, Paris, Limoges, Toulouse and down to our destination of Port Grimaud just across from St Tropez. We did the return journey on the Autorail to save a day but had a great trip albeit in our pre-Mustang days (well, June this year).

I promised a video, so here's the video... I hope Youtube will allow me showing it, I think it came out quite nice (although Youtube really messes up the quality), I hope you enjoy it! It gives a taste of what it is like driving a Mustang in France.
