I have a 95 cobra and it runs fine but at idle it’ll drop down to around 400 rpm like rev back up almost like it’s got a aftermarket camshaft or it’s gonna die. I’ve replaced my air filter, I’ve cleaned my throttle body and I have a new idle air control valve on the way. Any ideas?

any of the harness clips to any of these pieces broken? The little plastic tabs that hold them together? They become brittle and break and then once the motor gets hot it can cause problems
I will take a look!
No luck honestly, looked all over my engine bay and nothing was loose.

Does it happen all the time? Up to temp? Cold? We can narrow down the sensors with this information.

Sounds like a vacuum leak
It was all the time I got it fixed now. Lots of advice and I ended up finding a vacuum leak
It was. Completely dry rotted piece broke off

you would be wise to replace any/all vac lines that you can see as they have seen their prime pass them and most will be dry/brittle

you are a brave man, I would never tempt fate like that myself by making such a bold statement. If I said something like that it would take my tranny out just teach me a lesson about how much I wished it was a vac line.
