If you were to lowere a 95 mustang gt what kit would you buy?

I want to lower my mustang and put it on coil overs but idk what brands are good (my cars stock). Just so i can start looking what about exhast? I want a h pipe but have now clue what brands are good or what i should save for. any links are appreciated, Thanks alot!

Unless you need adjustability for all out performance or want to constantly adjust ride height, just go with lowering springs. Significantly cheaper and you get about the same results.

I can’t comment on what springs and shocks to buy (my car came lowered an inch or so when I bought it, and it looks really good imo), but I can comment on the exhaust. My exhaust setup (again, was on the car when I bought it) is the stock mid pipe with the two big cats cut out and replaced with straight pipes, and some Flowmaster mufflers (not sure which Flowmaster mufflers, but they are Flowmaster).

It sounds great, not too loud, not too quiet, and is way cheaper than buying a mid pipe. Those are expensive.

Springs are subjective to how low you want the car to be. On my 94 convertible I have eibach prokit springs with new rubber isolators. It's lower than stock, but can still go over a speed bump without scraping the exhaust. This is the resulting fender gap. 18" wheels


On my 01 coupe I ran eibach pros, then went to H&R SS springs. Also great riding Springs, much lower than the eibach pros. Pulled the isolators out and the car was slammed. Now it's on coil overs in the front and torque arm Springs in the rear. After that whole metamorphosis. If I didn't need the coil overs for turbo piping, I wouldn't waste my time with them. Lowering springs do 90% of what coilovers do, and from my experience at a more comfortable ride.


As far as exhaust. Listen to setups on YouTube. Look up your car with either an X pipe. H PIPE. OR PROCHAMBER with one of the numerous catback exhaust companies.

Id go with either MM's kit (I run their front kit), or a Viking kit from UPR.
Depends on what you want to spend. There's cheaper options but that's not what you asked for.

First you need to figure out the ride height you want the car to sit at
Then you can measure for correct length shocks. Brand is subjective correct length is critical if you dont want to have it ride like a wagon.

I used the Ford Motorsports springs (M5300C) and paired them with B6 Bilsteins. I've very happy with it.

Way back when on the Eibach Prokit I found it to be a nice middle ground between unlivable and stock.
The old pushrod motors sound great with a simple H-pipe and Flowmasters or Magnaflow muffs.

My car is lowered front only. Gives it an interesting stance. I have an H pipe on mine, not sure which manufacturer and Flowmasters out back. Previous guy deleted all the cats and it runs great and there's no smell. Don't ask me how he did it. No warning lights either. I can tell you it sounds fabulous, the 4.6 has a better rumble than the 5.0 which is more raspy.

If handling is critical to you spindles are the only way to fly low up front. If spindles are out of your budget tall ball joint arms (with stock springs) is 2nd best.

Or like.. don't. But people get really weird about that.
