I`ve had a few cars in my day but these Mustangs? I`m tempted to `buy things` for my new toy. Cold Air Induction kit maybe,
Stainless steel exhaust or de catting, but I`ve read that much about check engine lights coming on and the ECU not playing or it needs retuned.
Generally , what can be done without upsetting the apple cart? Other cars you can just buy the bits and bang them on and get 3 horsepower for your $700 :laughing5:.

Whats safe to do without mucking up my new chariot?

What is your intended usage of your Mustang? Street, strip, Auto-X, etc.

Ummm, just an occasional car that I take the odd drive in. Performance is enough really as I`m getting older now and couldn`t care if someones car is quicker. I fancy making it sound a bit beefier though

Changing your exhaust would be a good move to make it sound a bit beefier. Magnaflow, Mac, Flowmaster, Bassani..they all sound good with the factory H-pipe. Other than the exhaust, there's not much besides a different H/C/I setup that will affect the sound.

I take a cat back set up won`t affect anything then? Just a straight change with no dramas or issues of anykind?

Catback won't throw codes or anything like that. Go to youtube and do some searching and you can find all sorts of soundclips of different exhaust setups and get an idea for what you want.

Thanks guys. I fancy something a bit `louder`. I`d be tempted to go down the cherry bomb route but, I`m not sure if that would be too harsh. i`ll check out youtube

dont use a cherry bomb, or any other style glasspack. if you like the classic flowmaster sound go that route, if you prefer something louder go with borla or SLP..

Cheers man, I`ve been on to my local stainless exhaust maker and she`ll be in on Saturday. They`ll know what to do. No more than 2.5".
