Bottom line, pull out your current head unit, snap pic, post pic, answers will then be knowledgeable

well first off your sony amp has an alpine logo on it..... With the amp in there it should be pretty easy just depends on how much time you want to spend on it. For best sound your best option would be to run 2 sets of rca's from the deck to the amp. At the moment it must be using a Line out converter which will work but is not as clean of a signal. If you do that, all you should need to wire up on the deck would be the power wires and the remote turn on for the amp(yellow, black, red(orange wire if you deck has one)) and then you can simply insulate all the speaker wires on the deck(grey pair, green pair, purple pair and white pair).

If you do not want to run the rca's and remote turn on then go ahead and wire up the colored pairs of speaker wires to their matching pair in the factory hrns.

They probably removed the stock x-over/amp that was below the radio giving you the extra harns's. Don't let them confuse you as you should only be able to plug in the ones you need into their matching pairs.

You can remove that factory wiring easily, and pull that amp since it already seems like its bypassed (the factory one, I would use your alpine since it's already there.)

I did it to get it all out of the way.

Otherwise take ttocs' advice, the man is a genius

more then likely if you follow them up they will go to the rear speaker outputs and a loc would be my guess, I assume you do not see them behind the deck as I didn't see them in the pics. just get two pair and also get a single blue wire to use as the remote turn on. Run all of them from the deck to the amp, and yes plug them into the same spots those current cables are plugged in.

Your setup is going to be easy to wire as long as you have the correct components to do so. The adapter harnesses you have are the correct ones. You will only use the gray one due to the speakers being run off the alpine amp. Everything else is redundant.

Connect your head unit to all the wires off the gray that match and are needed. (you wont use the power antenna wire) Now locate the RCAs in the dash and the blue 14-18 ga wire in the dash as well (this is your amp remote turn on wire)connect the RCAs to the head units front and rear RCA jacks (assuming it has both and you WILL need BOTH) Plug your deck in along with your antenna wire (large black wire with metal male end on it) and slide the head unit in the dash.

If you need any help let me know. I was an installer for a few years and have been an avid car audio nut since I was 13 (17 yrs total)

Also what headunit did you buy. I would like to look up the specs on it to make sure it will work for your application. DO NOT let best buy install it!!!!!

Thats not very nice considering we have people here that work for best buys install bay. They are no different then any other store they have bays with both good and bad people.

That will work. Just follow as I said and You will be up and going in no time flat.

Best Buy doesnt go through the same training as other more high end shops. There are more best buy horror stories than there are satisfied. Im not aiming it at any of the guys here just saying.

so you worked there then? I got my foot in the door installing there 17 yrs ago. To tell you the truth they did more training for their installers then any other shop I worked at later with the exception of anything custom of course. There are a number or really really good installers that I know that are still there, and yes they have their share of hacks as well. You have just as good of a chance at getting a hack at a mom-n-pop shop with the difference being that best buy corporate would pay for any mistakes where the mom-n-pop would not.

AGain I highly doubt that the rca's in the car are in the dash and that you could follow them to the rear speaker wires just like on the link I posted earlier. I am also fairly certain he would have seen them as well as all the extra hrns's.

Agree with this statement, between my monster cable speaker wiring (last owner has professionally installed), RCA's to the amp and the multiple RCAs on my AUX input (one set for my plug jack and one set for my Sirius docked unit run to Y plugs to use the single input) it's a tight fit behind my head unit

Plus it is rare to see anyone go through the trouble of wiring LOC's behind the HU

Who said anything about following them to the rear speaker wires? They are plugged into the amp and he has shown that in the pics. The speakers are all ran off the Alpine amp that the PO installed in there (which is good because the stock amps are crap). The way things are done I couldnt see the PO having an LOC installed. There will be however a remote wire behind the deck though because even with an LOC involved you have to use a RTO wire.

And as for working at best buy NO, I have never but I know guys that have. The shop I worked for wasnt a mom and pop shop. It was a corporate store as well. They didnt pay for Your certifcations training. All of us that worked there were MECP certified before being hired and did VERY little non custom installs.

right, the op took the time to dig out 6 sets of wire hrns's in the dash and didn't bother to notice the coppor colored red/black ends plugged into an aftermarket loc that would have stood out like hell.... Just follow the rca's and see where they go too.

my mecp cert exp back in 99 I think it was, by then I had learned more then it took to pass that test and figured out already that it didn't mean squat.

There are no rca's for in the dash near the old stock head unit or a wire for a remote turn on.
