intake fitment issue after head install....please help!!!

Hi everyone I am a new member to this forum I have just purchased a 95 Mustang GT ..I recently purchased a new set of Trick Flow heads with a thicker deck and now I'm having issues with my intake there is a big gap between the engine block and the lower part of the intake where the valley is can somebody please help me...I don't know if I need a new intake or a spacer of some sort...

If you are using a 302 intake, it won't fit at all. You'll need a specific intake that is for a 351w like the trickflow R or Cobra R intake, and the professional products one.

Thanks for replying guys but its is a 302 ....I talk to trick flow today and they said I could get away by putting a thick bead silicone
..for some reason I find that hard to believe. ....I'm gonna try to post some pics n a few...

You need a phenolic spacer between the upper/lower intakes. 3/8-1/2" will fit with out any problems with the hood but the strut tower brace might not fit

He does not need that. He is having the gap on the block to lower intake. Spacer is for the upper to clear the valve covers mainly. .

I know this is going to sound dumb, but did you put the cork gaskets in there?

I have a trick flow upper and lower intake ...the gasket kit I have came with a rubber gasket...I can't figur out how to
Down load my pictures. ..:p

thick bead silicone...

It is standard practice to throw away the cork/rubber gaskets and run a bead of RTV at the front and rear of the lower intake manifolds.

Will thats good news....now I have a 67mm turbo setup that I'm putting on my car do you guys think that silicone will hold up...
