is there a way to swap driver and passenger side seats? has anyone done this before?

some obvious hurdles that come to mind (its a vert): seat belt holder on the top of the seat, drivers seat is power and passenger seat is manual.

can it be done?

the drivers side is ripped on the bolster closest to the door (upright part of the seat) and the foam underneath the tweed is rotting away to nothingness.

the drivers side bolster closest to the door - the part your butt sits on is basically flat - theres no foam left in there.

the passenger side seat is WORLDS better than the drivers seat. this is my daily driver, so i honestly dont want to spend money to replace the front drivers seat when switching the two will work.

If you dont mind the tilt lever facing your center solumn I dont see why not. Youll have to switch the mounting brackets so your drivers side will still be power and uyour passenger side manual though. Its not that hard to remove and relocate the adjustment knob from the drivers seat to passenger seat but out side of that you should be fine.

Just take the seat belt holders off of both sides. I think the older seats are a little diffrent (I'd have to look at my old 95's) but it was just two screws on top of my 01 cobras. I think it looks a lot better anyways plus the seat belt holders never did a whole lot for me.

Are the seats diffrent in a vert? I've never noticed it...

EDIT: I just looked a pic of a friends 96 vert and the seat belt holders are the same as my old ones. Maybe we're talkinga bout diffrent things? I'm talking about the belt holders next to the head rest, because if you switch sides thats gonna be the first thing to give it away. Here's a how-to on removing the head rest to get to them on the older seats. http://sn95forums.com/index.php?topic=31888.0
