Seach for PI manifold swap, you will find a list of parts needed including water pump nipple, feed tube, alt bracket, etc

ok i have the manifold and i put it into the spot where it is supposed to go just to c if it would match up right and it did, only problems is the gasketr are totally different shape and the holes are way different in shap and a little bigger on the pi manifold-if i just use that silicon gasket glue instead of gasket would that work?and bother the coolant sensors fit riht in to the pi manifold.dont c what the people are talking about when they say you need to go and have it drilled,is it more difficult than it looks?what exactly am i ganna need besides the alt bracket ?

96-98 non-pi motors have two temp sensors, one on each side of the motor. Later year PI cars only have one sensor on the pass side, you need to have the spot next to the therm housing drilled and tapped to accept the 2nd sensor

shouldnt be an issue you will need the water pump nipple and a hose off a pi motor and from what i've heard use npi gaskets

hey thanks joekd for that link :icon_salut:-that website pretty much explains every ? i had about the swap-but they recomemnded that i use pi gaskets, and you recomended that i use npi gaskets to avoid the risk of a leak-did you at first use pi gaskets and had a leak?and did you switch to npi gaskets and did that take care of the problem??i am planing on doing the swap pretty soon as soon as i get a hold of the funds but right now i have the intake with aluminum coolant runner already in the car and its leaking from a small crack from the passenger side rear, its leaking very very little, but the little that it is leaking is causing coolant to somehow get into cylinder #4 spark plug housing and causing a misfire when you first start it up and then it goes away after about 5 minutes of idling the cheak engine light comes on because of it-if i continue to drive the way it is and coolant continues to get into the #4 spark plug housing will ther be any damage to the cylinder ?

Pi vs. non-pi gaskets is one of the big debates here, rahter then get into specifics I will just tell you my story

Used PI gaskets, did the RTV fill in the corners and all, coolant leaks right away, switched to non-pi, no leaks. Same story many people here have.

The way I look at it the gaskets aren't going to be a huge power restiction no matter how you look at it so I say go non-pi unless you are doing a full PI head swap as well
