I think you would have to inspect the whole strut tower area. Did the car ever have coil overs? They put the whole weight on the strut tower and can cause failures like that to occur. It looks like it could be fixed as long as the rest of the tower is in good shape. Im not sure if those are 3 bolt or 4 bolt cc plates. One of the reasons people go with the MM 4 bolt is because it spreads the load on 4 points instead of 3. Especially important with a coil over setup.

it is the 3 bolt CC plate. as far as the coilvoers I don't know.it had stock springs on it when I got it. but have the CC plates was on there already. they told me it was steada brand but I planned on getting the MM brand anyway. the rust is just around the top by the bolt holes and that is where the cracks start at and go out the rust is only by the craks I know a real good welder I was thinking I could pull all that off and hit it was a wire bursh or wire wheel drill holes at the end of the cracks and weld it up real good but don't know if that would jeopardize that at all or if I should cut the whole tower out and replace it with one out of a different stang I am I ironworker and a fitter so I have no problem with the task but don't know how the integrity would be thanks for the help

is it a crack, or surface rust?

crack: drill out the end of the crack, weld closed, grind, sand, paint.

rust: sand, paint.

???

so, when we installed my MM CC plates we did the passenger side wrong and now i have an ob-long hole. I wanted to weld it but everyone was like "oh! the heat! and the! and dont forget! and If you do that! and dont do that!"

you'll be best off sanding it down, looking at what you have to work with. if it *is* a crack, drill both ends of the crack with a drill, weld it, grind it, seal it, prime it, paint it.
