Jack points.

Can someone give me some advice on the best jack points? 1997 GT.

This is from the manual for my 96 Gt. It also says Never use the rear diff as a jack point. Not sure why, it just says its no bueno. Hope this helps.

interesting that they say no on the diff. I have to believe that it is more of an issue of someone not putting the jack under it right, front to back and centered (balance issue, particularly on uneven ground), rather than due to some kind of damage to anything from jacking the car from there. seen it done numerous times with no ill effect.

Just about every time I raise a car I do it from the pumpkin. Albeit now I jack on the torque arm :)

Thanks. I did an oil change today. Used 5W-30 full synthetic. Added 5.5 quarts and it shows full on dipstick. Easy peasy.

While under the car, I discovered the previous owner had installed a set of lowering springs. I never thought much about it but it does sit nice.
