I grew up with my Dad racing a 600whp SC'd Fox, having a classic 500hp show car camaro (which ended up getting stolen at the show in vegas), to watching him work on cars all his life. It all started at the age of 4 when i started crawling under my electrical jeep and started yanking stuff out "to be like daddy and to make it go faster". I learned so much from him, without him, the car would not be what it is today. My dad had one in red when i was growing up and 2 years before i was able to learn to drive, he sold the car. It made me sad and I just HAD to get one as my first car. Ended up finding one that just rolled up to the dealership an hour prior to my arrival as my mother was convinced the mazda3 was right for me, and i should check it out anyways. So an old lady had traded it in with only 15k Miles back in 2005 (7 years from when she bought it) for some SUV and the dealership didn't plan on selling it right away. My mother knew i loved the car as we had previously owned one, and she haggled them pretty hard since there was no price tag on it. She worked her magic, I got it for a steal, and signed/drove it home 5 hours later. Later that night, i found out that the car was built Aug. 31, 1995 and that it was bought two week later on my birthday 09/16 of 1996. call it coincidence but at the time, i thought it was like meant to be.
As time went by, i just kept on modding and learning the ropes from my dad as the tasks got harder and harder. 2years later, the car came a long way to be the track/weekend warrior car i wanted for Road Race (Willowsprings, etc..).
