...that a BFG drag radial 315/30/18 is 12 INCHES WIDE!! I'm finally ditching my stock rims for a Saleen 18x9/18x10 setup. These should fill up my wheel wells entirely. I'm going to try to flip the quad shocks, but I may just have to toss them. I'll post pics when they are out of my kitchen (!?!bachelor pad with no garage...) and actually on my car.

Your going to love the extra rubber.

I would ditch the quads all together and get some descent control arms.

I would not ditch the quads whether you got the control arms or not.
im just curious, but what good are the quads after you get solid CAs? they control front to back motion, or wheel hop.

you can pm me with an answer if you feel up to it. so we dont smother his thread.

Weird, I just put my rims on and there is still about a half inch of clearance between the tire and the quad shocks. So, there was no need to flip or remove them at all... I'm guessing that they are flipped already. :dunno: My car still spins these tires enough to leave marks when just stepping on it in first gear at about 10mph, but it's a HUGE difference now! It's a crappy day with no sun, but I'll snap some pics anyway to put up later. Anyone want to buy my stockers?? ;)

Your quads might already have been flipped. My bfg's are only about a 1/3" away from my quadshocks with them flipped. :noes: The other reason they might fit already is the fact that there is a lot difference between cars and left and right sides of the car. I have a 3/4" of clearance between my wheel well and tire on the one side but only 1/4" on the other. I haven't gottten a chance to really test how sticky these tires are but I'm guessing I'll barely be able to spin them with my 200 hp. :rollinglaugh:

What wheels did you get?

Glad they fit the way you want them too. Can't wait to see your car since you put the new rims and tires on. I bet your car looks great with the new rims. O0

:dancing6: Here they are :dancing6:

The old on the right and the new on the left.....It's hilarious how wide the new one's are. Almost looks like it's mini-tubbed.

The business end..

And a weird angle..

I can still spin first gear, but second sticks hard. I heated them up a little bit and tried to break them loose from a roll...I'm going to end up breaking something if I launch too hard. But I'm still happier than ever.

Looks really nice! Does your rear tires stick out beyond the wheelwell?

Nope, they fit flush. There's still enough clearance that they don't rub when I turn into my steep driveway which I was afraid of at first. I'd have to do a "dukes of hazard" jump in order to have my rear tires slam into my fender lip.

They fit perfect without changing anything.
