Its my desire to continue modding my truck, like you guys want a faster car I want a faster truck. I know im NOT putting a cage in this thing. So im not sure exactly whats going to be done, but I can say that it WILL make enough power to run in the 11's or faster that's a DEFINATE. I dont know if you guys think that a 11 or 10 second truck is not drivable on a daily basis, but if you do you dont know crap about BUILT LIGHTNINGS. There are dozens of trucks that run in that time range that are DAILY DRIVERS and have all the comforts of a factory truck. On top of that you can drive it anywhere anytime. They are as docile as a kitten under normal driving, but when you hit the loud petal and the boost comes up that's when all hell breaks loose.Hell mine is about a second and a half faster than stock and it drives just like it did the day I bought it. Go check out some Lightning sites and you will see tons of examples of this. AVT Performance ( where my tuning is done ) turns out 10 second trucks like McDonald's turns out hamburgers and not one of them has missed a lick as of yet. In fact I think that all of them are daily drivers as far as I know. I know 5 of the owners personally, and that's how I got directed to AVT in the start.
As far as the cost, its no more expensive to build a Lightning than it is to build a modular mustang. I have the typical bolt-on truck and it runs the normal times of mid to low 12's for the mods it has. Like I said in my therad I KNOW I could have went faster under the right circumstances, but that's another story. Yes I do want another mustang, but I'm NOT putting that want in front of my Lightning, it comes FIRST.
I have got too much time and money tied up in this thing to put it on the backburner in a " unfinished " manor as far as my feelings are on it. Bottom line its all about being happy with what you have and im not Happy with this yet. Once I am, then its a done project and I can drive it around and be satisfied. Im not saying I wont buy a mustang if the right one comes up, I am saying that I would not put any money in it until this truck is done. After going to the strip I rekindled a love for it, and its like Ive started the mod bug again :angel4:...............keep your shorts on and I will give details on things to come in the very near future. I want to get the next phase of mods done BEFORE the end of spring, so that time in my sig area can read 11.xx instead of 12.45
