This will probably get moved, but has anyone seen the video on youtube of the guy who did a custom intercooler setup on his 5.0 KB?

those intake air temps are impressive. No fair though how come his KB is so much louder than mine? Would 5psi more really make that much difference in sound?

I would just use a meth injection kit from AEM/Snow/Mr. Freeze etc

Because KB intake temp runs way high, and you could use meth injection but with that PSI you'd have to have it enabled all the time and hope it doesn't malfunction. I have a Snow kit waiting to go on, I'm running 9psi and my intake air temp was 180+ degrees...

I agree with you though, I think it sort of defeats the purpose of a roots style blower. Also that's quite an elaborate setup, you'd really have to know what you're doing to set that up. Saw a guy do it on an SN95 before that fox came around though.

Yeah I know what you mean, i had to have a KB lol. I was only tuned to ~3500rpm because of tuning issues but so far it made 300whp @ 3400rpm and 340wtq @ 2900rpm on a Mustang dyno. Will eventually get it back for a full tune, probably next spring sometime.

yeah well fun street car is a bit of an understatement. It's awesome having torque everywhere in the RPM range...

yeah well fun street car is a bit of an understatement. It's awesome having torque everywhere in the RPM range...

boring? take a little drive down the nj tp and i'll take you for a ride in my boring vortech just don't poop on my seats

dude that did that posts frequently on the corral. he did most of the work himself so it wasn't a bad deal. to have it done would cost more then it is worth

I'd stay with a KB, i didn't want a centri or I would have got one. If anything I'd want to replace the KB with a turbo. The car doesn't run hot but the blower does, definitely increases the intake air temp. I relocated my intake air temp sensor from the cold air intake to the lower intake manifold so I have a real idea of what temps my engine is getting.

The cracked manifold was on a cheap boost brothers turbo setup buy good quality parts or don't buy at all.
