Kill story

I'll keep it short and sweet. Just left a burger place and saw two kids in an STI and decided to throw a couple revs at em. They follow me to a redlight and asked me to run, they were acting a little cocky and when I agreed to run they laughed. We ran from a 40 roll three times the first two I pulled em by a car and a half the last run i only got them by a half car. They did the typical speed off in shame routine but I got a kick out of it

i got killed by an sti a couple weeks ago starting from 50 mph then he did it again to me at 90 it sucked but he had a nice car with alot of work into it. the damn thing screamed when he gave it the gas and away he went leaving me like i was stoped at a light :crybaby2:
still stoped and talked to him to tell him he had a nice car lol

2000? they didn't import them ti 2004 model year. you sure it was sti or was it just a wrx?

It was probably a WRX w/ out a turbo. An STI has the badges and stickers indicating its an STI and it has a bigger wing. I know mine would take down a large portion of Mustangs modded or not and mines off the floor stock.

What mods are done to your 2002 GT?

I was thinking the same thing. Even my mazdaspeed6 which doesn't run as quick as an sti, will still put a hurt on the majority of mustangs out there.

I was thinking the same thing. Even my mazdaspeed6 which doesn't run as quick as an sti, will still put a hurt on the majority of mustangs out there.

The fact that those cars stock are beating modded mustangs just makes it seem pointless for me to dump any money into my 96 gt. I know my brother had a stock srt-4 and that thing was damn fast also.

A WRX has a turbo. A WRX is a Impreza with a turbo. Then the STI is a step up from a WRX. Would like to know the mods on the 2002 GT just for sh:ts and giggles though. I know I would not be one of those large portion of modded stangs that would be beat by a stock STI.

There weren't even 2000 WRX in the states were there? I had a '00 2.5RS and don't remember ever seeing a WRX in that body style. First WRX i remember seeing is the bug eye body style.

It wasn't till 2001 until North America got the first WRX's.

2001 WRX EJ205 engine (2.0L) rated at 227 hp at 6000 rpm with 217 lb/ft at 4000 rpm, Mitsubishi TD04-13T turbocharger unit with peak boost of 14.7 psi.

Then in 2006 it jumped to 2.5-liter turbocharged intercooled EJ255 engine, 230hp at 5600 rpm 235 ft/lbs at 3600 rpm. with a the same turbo charger at 14.8 psi.
