I could have picked up an original black on black 95 cobra loaded out purchased by Ernie Irvan (who I know personally) with only 150 miles on it for 15000. Cars never been tagged, titles still open and no registered owners.

why didnt you get it? And " knowing somebody personally " more than likely has a impact for the good as to how much your going to pay for something

That sucks.

I was driving by one of those "on the side of the road car lots" They have a 03 Mach for sale. The stickers on the window said $1995. I was like holy Sh1t!. I stopped and looked at it. It turns out that one of the plastic cling numbers came off due to the wind. The sticker inside the window says $11,995. I was like damn that is still a pretty good price, so I asked the guy about it, and it is a "reconstructed" title. I walked away. If it is still there in 6 months maybe I will offer him 8k for it.

Psh I just got out of the 06 payment, you think i'm going to buy a car as pristine as that one was, garage kept and everything in a climate controlled shop. To take it from such a nice place with all of its value and bring it to my redneck home town shop would be just wrong LOL I already have a beauty queen, a shelby, that hogs up all the air at my house. The last thing i need is another payment, and another garage queen.

well at least you'd have the sense to drive it. i hate it when people buy cars, especially really nice ones, and just put it to waste, letting it sit in a garage and collect dust. that 95 cobra, was selling for what? 15,000 you said? it appreciated no value at all not being driven. thats such a waste of a car (for whoever owned it). i think the only cars that should be excused from every day driving, are true classics, but even then, if i owned one, id drive it whenever i could.

I drive my 95 in rotation with the truck. It's one of my favorite things to do is cruise around in it. We drive our cars though, and race em lol

my question:

why a 1994/1995 cobra instead of the 1994/1995 GT? arent they the same motor with just a few modifications? wouldnt it be pretty simple to make a cobra clone with a GT? leather interior, badging, engine mods, and ... am i forgetting anything?

also, i appologize if im repeating something... i was in a car accident last night and cant see well... lol... so i didnt read anything except for the first post due to the struggle of seeing..

Because it is cool owning a Cobra, and IMO there are enough perks that make even a 5.0 Cobra worth it over a GT.

depends upon the person. When i can get a 5.0 gt for next to nothing it makes it a better deal then a 6k dollar cobra. If you have anything, then you can just trade out for one. I'd rather buy a car that needs paint and is substantially cheaper and leaves it open to modding then to buy a car that has alot of nice stuff that i'd change anyway

In general terms..........yea thats pretty much it when your comparing the 94-95 GT to a Cobra. Just minimal things, but enough to tell them apart. The Cobra was rated at 240hp compared to the Gt's 215 however Ive read numerous articles about the Cobra being conseratively rated by Ford and the actual power production being closer to the 260hp area.

But overall like said just the " having a Corba " is what makes it more wanted. Look at it this way, would you rather say my wife is well endowed or would you say my wife's got some 38 Double D's !!! Lol

Its all in your perception of what sounds cool hahaahahah
