lack of power between 2000-2800rpm

So I did an HCI, with gt40p heads. When i'm at second or third gear at about 1500rpm anf I floor the car, there's a lack off power at about 2000 until 2800 rpm. I don't know how to describe it but it's like a ''popping'' noise. The only thing that I can think it's wrong on my setup is the gt40p heads with the stock valves springs... Is it possible?

Hmmm.. Mine did that when one of the o2 sensors went out. Almost felt like it was drunk!

Having less low end torque after H/c/I is normal but the popping noise is not .. Post a video and will go from there ..

what cam did you install? was the car tuned afterwards?

I can't post any video at this time because de car is stored for the winter. I installed the e303 camshaft. I have stock Maf+injectors, and yes the maf meter is clean. The car is not tuned yet...Well, I got an sct chip but it did praticly nothing.

What is your timing set to with the spout out?

Also have you checked your IAC and TPS

My tps voltage is good and the IAC is ok too. My timing is supposed to be set at 10. I'm not even sure because the mecanic did the job. It's weird, is it possible that it can be detonation? It doesn't happen when the car is at WOT in 1st-2nd-3rd.

try bumping the timing to 12* or so and see how it feels.

with an aftermarket cam I wouldn't expect much out of the engine in the lower RPMs, especially if the setup isn't tuned.
