Hey guys, I have my first show coming up this Saturday and I would really like the car to make a good showing. I don't let my car get dirty so cleaning shouldn't be an issue but tree pollen right now is covering everything. I know that this is something that I will have to deal with. I was hoping for some pointers as to what I can do to get the most shine out of my car. I use Meguiars products to clean and was with but I would love to polish my car if that will make it shine more. I don't know any detail shops in my area and really don't trust anyone with my car anyway so I would rather learn to do it myself. I don't have an orbital or anything just my good ole elbow grease. Thanks for any help guys.

Just curious what show are you heading to saturday?

As for me, I always bring a california duster with me, a microfiber and dont put your tireblack on until you get to the show.

If you get it nice and clean and waxed just use the duster then go over it with a microfiber and maybe bring a little quick detailer in case it sprinkles while you're there or something

I bring Meguire's Quick Detailer with me to shows. Shake well, spray & wipe down with clean microfiber towel.

Work's great!

add shine by hand - you could put down a sealer (Jetseal) and top it with a good wax which would give it a nice shine.
just make sure it's really clean first. polishing by hand is really time consuming, don't think you'd want to attempt that by sat.

after that you can still touch it up with a spray n wipe / duster as noted above.

Buy a galze, it makes everything look SUPER wet.

I use CG EZ-Creme for that SUPER wet look.

Where can I get some of this? I work two jobs so all of my work will be done at midnight Friday night and maybe some really early Saturday morning. The show starts at 10 and I have to meet my car club at 9 to ride in. Time is not my friend right now.

It is the all car show at Spring Valley HS in Northeast Columbia. It's a local show in it's third year so we're going to check it out and see what it's about. All of the proceeds go to their automotive department so it's a good cause.
