i picked up a accufab 75mm tb & plenum several years ago really cheap. for the heck of it tonight, i put the old factory set up back on just to see if there was a difference. not really. i put the accufab one on before i knew much about what does & doesn't work well on the 4.6. now that my knowledge has increased, i probably wouldn't have bought it. but, 150.00 for it, i figured it wouldn't hurt. so, since there wasn't much difference i put the accufab back on. looks better than the stock one anyway. besides, needed something to do, slow at work tonight. the 2 things i've noticed the most have been my gears & my pi intake. seems like most of the other bolt on stuff is really a waste of money...

Gears made the biggest difference for sure I thought.
I only gained five rwhp from my Accufab plenum and throttle body.
I bought it for looks not performance.I think some of the bolt
on mods are a big waste of money.

After doing it all, I would never buy another bolt on.

I would strictly save the cash and buy a used vortech kit or somethign with my money.

You spent 150 here, 150 there, 400 for a tuner, 600 for a catback, 200 for an intake...all the stupid shit you buy really adds up.

I would imagine for all the money I spent on bolt ons, gears, tuner, exhaust, I could have nearly bought a supercharger kit.

in reality the only bolt on that seems to be worth a shit is a set of gears...you might as well throw your money into suspension and a decent set of tires otherwise cause you damn sure arent gaining enough power to justify any bolt ons cost.
