It whines pretty good with the hood opened. He says that it really quietens down when his hood is closed, though. I listened to it yesterday some. It sounded great to me. I did notice a new sound it makes though. It kind of whistles now! I have not really heard many different turbos/SC of any brand. I have heard maybe ProChargers on YouTube. It whistles kind of like them. I thought it was kinda cool!!!

He's still very happy with it, though. See ya!!

It whines just fine for me! He was expecting more sound, though. I like the added whistle to it, a lot!! I think it sounds pretty good. I've yet to ride in it when he can really step into it. Still waiting on that clutch to break in. Can't wait, though!

His plugs keeps fouling, I think is the word. The gap would close on like 1 of the 8. I went and picked up him some MotorCrafts today. I was going over for something, & he was changing out his plugs. He says it was causing it to miss really badly. It also would really smoke out of his tailpipes. He got them changed, them he took me out in it. It was running pretty good, I thought. "He says it has a lot more power since he has added the Whipple. All I know is he was running 20 lbs of boost.

He had it back, & was trying to find out why it was smoking like it was. He had me in it giving it some gas, while he watched it. Some stuff happened, & his wife came outside to us. It was me and his wife standing @ the front looking @ his motor. He jumped it it to start it back up. About 3 seconds after he got out to walk were we was, it started making this terrible racket. He got back in it to kill it. It would not restart after that! He started looking @ the belt & stuff. He then said to me, 'I think my Whipple is trying to lock up!'

He then pulled off his belt around his SC, so it would not make it move. Sorry, that's the best I could describe it. I went into the house while he was doing this. I heard it running, but this was why it started! His car is done for now though! He's not sure what he'll do now.

Thanks! He was hoping he could figure out why it was smoking. That problem kinda got shoved onto a back burner now though! Could the smoking been a sign it was fixing to lock up? I'm surprised that question even came to me!

I do know that he took it to GearHeads to be put on like 4 weeks ago.  It was making a weird noise, so Travis Franklin had him send it off to be looked @.  I can't remember who he sent it to, think it was in Missouri though.  When they got it they said it just needed a good cleaning.  They sent it back to GH, & they put it on.  Wayne checked the oil on it when he was changing out his plugs, I think.  After it messed up, he also checked that oil spot.  All I know it is I remember seeing some oil fly off the dipstick of a thing,  I'm not sure what that was, just I seen oil come off.  I hate messes, so my eyes went right to that!!  Sorry, I don't know much about this stuff, @ all!!  Thanks!!

I remember asking what oil goes in that spot. He said if it was low, 50 weight. I know he said that so it was full!

I just thought of something. The place that he sent it to was:
http://www.thehighspeedlab.com/catalogkb004.html

Travis Franklin @ GearHeads thought it was out of oil. Wayne sent it to these guys to see if it could be fixed. They called him & told him it just needed a good cleaning. I'm thinking they look over all of it. Could it be seen that is was fixing to lock up? Since they cleaned it, it was in tip top shape. I think Wayne maybe had 2300 miles on it after he had it put on? I just cannot understand how it went from fine to locked up!

I have no knowledge of this stuff, though! I can just go on common sense. Thought 1 of you might could help me figure this out! Thanks!!

Wayne just typed me this:
Travis hasn't called back but Wade from the High Speed lab called me back. He said he thinks a bearing might have went out are a gear could have broke. He said they looked fine but you really never know till you put a load on it. He said send it back in and he could fix no problem. Hopefully nothing major is broken. Since he didn't rebuild it he cant warranty it, but did say he would do it alot cheaper. I'm going to take it off myself. I have been reading on how to do it all night. It should not be a big deal. Just going to have to take my time.

Easier & I won't screw it up this way! See ya!!

Wayne's news:
Did talk to Wade today and he had good news. When he shipped it back to GH he didn't put the bottom plate on. When GH put it on the put one the bolts was to long and it messed up the casing in my blower. When the blower got hot the metal would expand thus causing the rotors to lock up. He said it would be good as new and I would just have about 200 bucks in it.

I thought it had to be something fixable.

A headache for him right now!! It had to be sent off to get fixed before he had it put on. Now he learns the place forgot to do whatever I typed! It will turn out great, but he's getting fed up with the entire deal! Can't say I really blame him.
