When you get some goodies for your car and a major problems puts a stop to enjoying it. I just ordered some new stuff for my car and should be receiving over the next couple days. But low and behold that loud whining noise and weak fuel pump prime has came and bit in the ass. She did her final start this morning when i switched direction in the garage so i could work on my headlight alignment. Just went to start it and the prime was extra weak.. So i re primed the pump and now i get nothing. Fuel pump is now dead.

My fuel pump has been EXTRA loud since i got this car and i blamed it on no rear seat. 2 summers ago it started sounding weird in hot weather but it made it to now, so im happy.

Sucks, but oh well i was actually waiting on it to die.. glad it died parked in my garage. Guess im ordering a pump now.

Make sure to get a filler neck grommet also, it will most likely rip when you are taking everything out. Costs about $25-27 at autozone.

Sucks that your fuel pump went out but on the bright side it's a pretty cheap and easy fix

Indeed. I was t hinking about stopping by the autostore to pick up a fuel pump. Are the store brand pumps okay to use or just looking for problems with them?

I have a perfectly good oem fuel pump that I can give you for like $20 shipped if you're looking for a cheap replacement.

Im thinking about getting a 255LPH pump instead of the OEM LPH. I dont plan on doing much to my car, but if i ever have a change of the heart with the 5.0 it'll be nice to already have a pump installed for more power.

I was wondering if this ebay walbro pump is okay? I know read about fake pumps, but this says genuine (not that it matters lol) and has good seller has good reviews-

Car just started but after I turned it off.. no start. That does like a fuel pump right. Priming sounds really weak.. almost like a moaning sound from the fuel tank area. The second restart try it almost_ fired up but no dice. The third it just cranks. Seems to work after it sits for a awhile

I wouldnt buy any pumps or any parts off Ebay. To much crap incorrectly listed and a pain to return if it is a defect.

Pump coming tomorrow. Grommet set to come Tuesday. But I'm going on a hunt around local Ford's dealership today to find a grommet so I can get this pump in over the weekend instead of Tuesday. Weather suppose to be extra nice this weekend so I can't miss that because of a grommet.

it was in stock, it could be the pump or it could also be a clogged fuel filter

Got a grommet @ local napa (thanks to a local mustang club member working there and getting it asap)
Picked up a napa fuel filter
Fuel pump coming tomorrow.
Lets start doing work on this thing. Weather is too nice for it to be broken.
