This guy in my city has a 2004 cobra in this ad, it says he'll trade for a fox, but I sent him an email seeing if he'll trade for my car. It's a basically stock, low mileage termy for really cheap(they usually for for $25-$35k here) so I will wait for a reply but dang, if he accepts the offer, I would LOVE to cruise in this beast!

I'll see what he says, if he wants my car + money I'd say no as my engine/tranny was basically just re-done with less than 500 miles on everything. I doubt he'll accept, but still worth a shot!

Yup white with the dark suede seats. I doubt he'll take the offer, but it's worth a shot :)

I understand your situation, but there's no way your car would ever value at $15k+ which is what I would expect that car to cost. If he's selling that car for any less than that, I would expect something to be wrong with it, whether its broken or has previously been in an accident.

Right. But good luck regardless.

You would be surprised, if the guy has money to spare and he needs to get rid of the Termi before he can get a fox this would be simple for him. My dad traded a '66 fastback GT for a fox and there was no way they were on the same level(value wise)

lol I know my car is worth nowhere near that, but the guy says he'll trade for a mildy done up fox, so I'll offer a mildly done up 5.0L SN95. I doubt he'll accept but it's worth a shot. My car would be LUCKY to fetch $10k with what I have done to it, stock worn down 5.0Ls sell for $6-$7.5k here, one in good to perfect condition ranges from $7.5-$9k. I know I'll never see the money back I invested in my car, I honestly don't care if I do or not because I am having fun with it :).

What's that about in american currency? I wouldn't ever pay 6 grand for a "worn down" 5.0... MAYBE half that...

where the f*** are u getting these numbers from??? lmao id be amazed if you could sell ur 5.0 for 7500 or 8000 in todays economy...doesnt even matter how low your miles are. my buddy bought a 97 GT with an 01 cobra engine dropped into it with 20,000 miles on it and about 10,000$ of engine work and the body only has about 50,000 and has a cobra bumper, cobra hood, and an s281 spoiler. Its got about 400RWHP, he got it for 8,000 u think urs matches up to that??? lol good luck...

your car isnt worth 20,000$ even with 500 miles on the clock.

if it was 500 original miles it wouldnt be worth that... ... so im afraid it will take some money to get that cobra in your garage.

but good luck!!! it sure doesnt hurt to ask, and give it a shot!!!

These are what they sell for in my province, I know my car isn't worth that, these are canadian funds too. Your average SN95 GT sells for $6-$9k here. I just thought "hey, what do I have to lose?" As I said though, The only way I'd get rid of my car would be a straight termy for my car swap, I know my car isn't worth the same or anywhere near a termy, but I love my car and built it from a bone stock GT to what it is today, and I'm only 17 :).

EDIT: Just to show you guys, here are a few adds for some SN95s in my city. For some reason they sell for more in my province then most of the other ones...
http://www.usedregina.com/classified-ad/11624181 -$6500 1996 GT with 216k(130k miles?)
http://www.usedregina.com/classified-ad/11452882- $8500 1996 GT with 150kms and a ricer bodykit, I know, ugly!
http://regina.kijiji.ca/c-cars-vehicles-cars-1997-Ford-Mustang-GT-W0QQAdIdZ196379475 - 1997 GT- $9500
http://regina.kijiji.ca/c-cars-vehicles-cars-1995-Ford-Mustang-GT-Coupe-2-door-W0QQAdIdZ194445842 1995 GT that looks... yea- $7000

And those are some rough ones. I don't know why but Mustang GTs tend to hold value pretty good where I live for some odd reason. Still, I know my car isn't worth 20k, but it's worth a try :).

Haha ya, Lots of money too. It's been 2 and a half years since I got it and it was 100% bone stock with the waffle wheels when I bought it from my brother for $7k, which was $1k less than what it was normally selling for back then too. People say you will regret the money you spend but honestly, I can say I made this car what it is with my own 2 hands, and I love it :).

Foxes are always fun, my cousin mods them because they are cheap and easy. I have easily spent more than the initial cost of the car on parts now, heck my whole engine/tranny project ran close to $6k, but sadly thats the price you pay for being unique (and for living in Canada, duty and shipping fees suck!)

haha, I love fox cause its just a bare bones car, which is what the stang is supposed to be. plus, the modding is cheap...
