I've noticed when I accelerate the driver's seat feels loose as it rocks back slightly, are the bolts for the seats located underneath the car? I assume they've just come a little loose? Thanks

not 2v specific.

No 4 bolts hold the seat to the car. 2 studs up front 2 bolts out back.

The nuts up front and the bolts in the back are all 14mm if I'm remembering correctly. I had one bolt strip out and had that same problem on the passenger side. Ended up getting some more out of a part car we have.

I was playing around with it today and I raised the seat as high as it will go and it didn't seem as loose, not sure if that narrows down the problem any better?

check the bolts on the floor and the bolts that hold the seat to the bracket.

This appears to be the part that has the play in it, any idea if it can be fixed or replaced? Thanks

Part of the power driver seat bracket is made of aluminum and are prone to break and wobble. I'd take out the seat assembly and inspect it all.

We took the seat out and have narrowed down the problem, see below for picture with an arrow pointing to the bit that is faulty as i'm not sure what the part is called, basically there are 2 bolts going either side, 1 of them is missing and the other one was loose, the thread is worn though, we've managed to tighten up the remaining bolt which has cured the problem but I have a feeling it will work it's way loose again, do you know if this is a part that can be ordered or would I have to replace the whole mechanism? The one pictured is not my actual one it's just the best pic I could find

I highly doubt you can even get those parts new unless they share part numbers with the 99-04's and even then those parts are getting harder to source from Ford.
