I have to pull the motor out of the mustang again. Seems as if the guy i bought the motor from failed to tell me the oil pump was bad (at least Im thinking thats the case). When running the oil pressure gauge reads between the first white line and the "N" on NORMAL. Thats way to low for a motor that has this much done.

It doesnt move at all when your driving so Im leaning towards the pump.

Also wheres the sensor for the gauge located?

I don't know if 94-95 are the same as 96-04 but the oil pressure gauge is just an idiot gauge on ours. if it reaches a certain pressure it'll come up to the set level for the gauge. yours could just be malfunctioning.

the stock gauges are junk, get an actual gauge on there before you go and pull the motor. spend $60 to confirm before spending a day working and buying a oil pump for nothing.

The oil pressure sender just threads into the block near the oil filter and are known to be junk I have had to replace mine as well they are about $20 at autozone I think. I thought I had the same problem and it was just the crappy sender.

as he said if you look at the filter the sender is towards the front of the block, just follow the wire.

My temp gauge had been doing the same thing for a while. I finally got some aftermarket gauges and discovered it was right were it was supposed to be.

Im going to buy a new Oil pressure switch tomorrow and see if that clears up my issue. I have an extra (known working) oil pump sitting here from my old motor so its no cost to me but I dont want to drive the car with the gauge reading like that.
