I did some work for a guy the other day that spent 13hrs on the install. You need to pull the motor up not out but up to really make it a little easier. But not much

Lets say you need alot of :happydrunks: :happydrunks: :happydrunks: :happydrunks: :happydrunks: To help on this project

yeah well I was quoted today $1350 worst case scenario. It is the only shop here that would even consider doing the install in the first place.

Where are you located? Yes they are a PITA. I have done more sets than I care to remember. Dropping the K and lowering the motor in the best way to do it. Raising the engine doesn't do much except kill your back trying to lean over a jacked up car. $1350???wow...I would do them alot cheaper than that. In their defense, it is pretty labor intensive.

i tried my headers myself and gave up.. its no fun at all. haha

i'm amazed no one in calgary wants to do it. have you checked www.beyond.ca forums for any shops they can recommend?
another route to go would be to find something in red deer because they have tons of mustangs rippin around. if not then make the drive to edmonton here and get them done at AFI performance.

i'm not sure of the number for them off the top of my head. maybe try 411 or edmonton yellowpages. if you call ask for martin. he's the owner.
let me know if you're making the trip up here.

If none are willing to do the install then they aren't good shops. JMO.

Or they aren't familiar with the vehicle you are bringing them. Good shops are those that know their limitations and areas of expertise. If that shop doesn't know Fords, are they just supposed to go on your word that those headers are even the correct part number or are a quality brand that is going to fit right? What's that shop supposed to do when they have the car up on the lift and the customer brought them a set of headers he promised would be perfect and they're hitting the steering shaft, the transmission, the firewall, and the X pipe is for a 5.0? Leave it up on the lift, loose money, and spend a week's worth of time fabricating the part to fit right?
