I wired up an a/m head unit to a Mach 460 system the other day, but I only seem to be getting sound out of the right rear. I'm pretty good with electronics. I went to school for it for a few years, but I can't seem to figure this one out. Could the amps be blown? It's a new to me 02 Mustang and it had an a/m system in it before I got it. It had the 1 gauge or what ever power wire going to the trunk.
The factory wiring wasn't hacked so I used either Scoshe or Metra adapters and soldered the connections etc.
Any good tests or ideas that I can try?

Here's a couple pics of my wire connectors and the schematic I used:

The only thing different in these schematics are that I took out all the convertible references.

are the amps even in there anymore? Most of the time if they put their own amp/subs in they pulled the stock stuff out

They're there. I think the "installer" just ran some new wires and left the stock stuff alone thankfully.
Crutchfield has wiring posted also that I'm going to double check against what I did and then I'll test each wire and see if they go where they're supposed to.
Even though my car is a 2000, it has the 01+ wiring. I think when they swapped the 02 GT drivetrain in, they pulled the full interior etc over too.
