Hi,
I read about this recall of the conventional parking brake:

I guess it was never fixed on my Stang because it left the US somewhere in 94-95 and I guess the European dealers didn't follow US recalls.
They write something about installing a plate or overbracket. Do you know what needs to be fixed and is it something I could do myself? What parts are needed?
Any help would be appreciated! :-)

If it's the same as my 99, it's a little part that goes over the ratchet pawl in the self-adjuster, to make it not self-adjusting. Major pain to get to, including removing the console. Others undoubtedly know more about what issue can happen without it, but if it's not a problem for you now I personally wouldn't worry about doing it till you need to. I've considered leaving mine off the several times I've needed to go in and mess with it.

Thank you both! I don't have problems with the brake (yet?). I was thinking about it for precaution, but it seems it's not necessarily needed.
