methanol

Does anyone know if you can use methanol instead of an intercooler...like in a race application? I can see using a regular intercooler for the street cuz it doesn't have to be refilled but i was just wondering why you dont see me guys using methanol in racing instead of an intercooler to save weight.

I know that some companies sell water/methanol injection kits, that halp lower the temp. I'm not 100% sure on how they work though.

I used meth injection on my 97 gt... I did great. Most washer fluids are 95% meth BTW. the colder the freeze level the better. I used an SMC meth injection kit.
