So this guy is selling a 96 Cobra, I could get it for like 2000 because he does not have the title. He also said that there is a nock coming from one of the pistons. What are the options on what it could be?

Damn, do all the pistons need to be replaced? or just the one. I guess it would be better just to replace them all.

It has no title cause he is from micigan and moved to PA.

Also would the piston need to be replaced right away or could it still be driven. If it can to what extent.

If it has a knock it could be rod bearings, main bearings, or a wrist pin. I would not drive it unless you plan on making the internals become externals with a catastrophic failure. A new engine is not cheap.

If the car has a Michigan title you should have no problem registering it in Pa. If the title is lost or missing make him get you a replacement. If he refuses stay away, there may be some shananagans going on. You don't want to buy the car, then go get a new title from Michigan and find out the car is stolen. Then you would be out a car and the 2k.

Sounds a little sketchy. No title is n good IMO at least. Bottom line with the knock is that it could be a number of things. How many miles are on the clock? If the miles are low enough then it could be easily worth 2k as a roller.
