Hey all, I have a 95 mustang gt with a ford racing crate motor. As of now It has a ford racing E-cam. I have to get the motor taken out for a few repairs and id like to up the cam size. Id like to know what the absolute biggest cam I could fit in my car is without having to check piston to valve clearance. I have GT-40 Aluminum heads and 1.7 rockers. Any input is helpful. I want the most aggresive cam out there....thanks!

Why do you want something bigger?

The E Cam is not a bad cam.

You could swap to something else and I would bet you wouldn't notice a power difference.

If you want lope, and are really willing to do the work of swapping a cam then look at the thumpr cams from comp.

They are designed around lope.

Which gt40 aluminum heads? X or Y? What size valves? What are your springs rated to? Willing to change the springs? There are a lot of factors here...
