For those you didnt see my other thread. I just finished up my PI swap, then the car wouldnt start and it turned out to be my fuel pump. Well I got the car running tonight and it seemed to fire up fine but it was idling high. I didnt think much of that and was just watching the temp gauge and making sure my coolant was full. I let it run for awhile then decided to go for a short drive. The car ran pretty rough and the coolant light came on so I pulled over and the coolant was full but I could see bubbles coming up into the resevoir. I drove right home and I checked the oil and there was a milky substance on the bottom of the cap but not on the dipstick and there looked to be oil in the coolant(straight water). When I did the head swap I had the heads gone over and skim cut. I bought brand new ford gaskets and new ford head bolts. I also cleaned the block extemely well and use a piece of 2x4 with sandpaper to clean the surface. I'm thinking one or both of the head gaskets are crap but figured I would run it by you guys first.

I used the stupid oem torque sequence. I miss the old days of set your torque wrench and torque, done. Without dropping $300 on arp bolts.

it may be moisture condensation. did you let the coolant system cycle properly to relieve air pockets?

yeah I let the car idle while I watched the coolant level and topped it off as needed. There is definitely oil in my overflow now that I calmed down and took another look. It just pisses me off that I spent all that flippin money on mls gaskets, new head bolts, and getting the heads cleaned, cut, pressure tested, and now I have to pull the damn thing apart again. This is really making me miss having a push rod engine where everything seemed cheaper.
