Does the Mothers Powerball have any abrasive qualities to it or is it just a sponge?
I'm looking for a tool like the mini to clean my wheels but i have painted wheels and don't want to scratch them up.

Any suggestions on something similar is or what you use is appreciated.

OK i figured it out on my own :)

I am gonna use the Yellow Ball for paint to clean the front on my wheels and i am gonna buy a red one to clean/polish the back side that is brushed aluminum....i will have to hand polish my exposed aluminum on the lip and lug area so i don't scratch the paint.

But i am open to other products if you know of them.

I had a powerball also, I dunno about light duty, but medium to heavy duty, it didn't work at all, no matter how fast I sun it or hard I pushed.

I havn't tried the flitz ball.

I can see how it could be helpfull on the concaved areas like where the spoke meets the wheel, but for the rest of it, hand work, and I actually use my orbital on the flat areas I can get to.

you can buy soft foam pads that last a while and are very acurate on wheels, powerballs are bush league

Have the large and small one. The only complaint I have with the small one is that it cannot get into very small areas. Do not use a battery opp drill unless you have a good one with a strong motor. I use a corded drill ad it works fine.
