I found this old magazine that I had in my attic over the past weekend and though you might like to see the cover.

This was part of what made me BUY a new one in 97 and thus in later years buy another one. (see sig)
Ahh those were the days..

Any of you remember the days when getting 300 streetable (flywheel) hp out of a 5.0 was a challenge, not just a matter of cookie cutter combos? Yea, that makes me feel old.

Man at that time I was only dreaming about owning that car. My dad had a 96 Corvette Collectors Edition and I thought I was going to get that. [PS we raced and I beat em ]

600 or 750hp would be even better if the new Mustang didn't get so porky :nonono: I'd love to see what our cars would run had Ford applied the same techniques to reduce weight like the aluminum block (compared to GTs, I mean), aluminum suspension components, etc. without the car growing dimensionally. I know, I know, the S197 is a big improvement handling and ride quality wise, but it's fun to think about how much better our cars would have ran if we had the 3 valver in GTs and a lot of weight reduced across the board for all models, plus the 3 link rear and such which hooks much better in stock form

I was riding down the interstate the other day and saw a 65 mustang riding alongside a S197, the S197 looked like a behemoth beside the original. And I had a 65 Mustang, I'd really say the 65 was roomier than the S197 is aside from maybe headroom. Safety regulations :lame: haha
