O I know, the 2vs that get into the 12s all motor are typically all suspension work. He made no mention of anything suspension related lol.

local chick by me hits 12.4's in hers, but she's on slicks, and has cams and bolt ons lol

Yea...on a good tire with nice suspension he might do high 12s. Were talking about a first timer on street tires and no suspension...still a world of difference between high 12s and high 11s besides the fact that I ran high 11s on street tires with a 2.15 60 Lol.

Cams actually help that much on a 2v or is there some wild shit done there?

It just annoys me when people are so out of touch with reality.

I've checked out those new MT Pro's, they look BADASS and I'm sure snap necks. Imagine what you would tell an officer as he pulls you over though lol

The PRO is not a DOT tire like the ET Streets. I'm debating on keeping the slicks or going to the ET streets. Changing the tires at the track is getting tiresome.

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/mtt-90000001536/overview/

"These Mickey Thompson ET Street Radial Pro tires are purpose-built race tires for classes requiring specific size tires. They feature next-generation construction designed to take more power for better launches, and a reduced tread pattern for maximum traction. Mickey Thompson ET Street Radial Pro tires are designed for drag racing use only; they're not legal for street use. "

My friend had a set of the new ones and I was amazed at how deep the tread was, looked like they would last a while haha

MT tires are a bit confusing lol. Those Radial II's do look nice I was thinking of getting those when I get new wheels. They also make a new Street tire that is not classified as a DR but a UHP Tire. That's what I was thinking of when you first posted but I read read it and saw you meant it was actually a DR tire.

I also wanted the ET Streets if I decide to try and compete ( on a somewhat series effort ) in true street competition. I was hoping the PRO was DOT Tire but seems to be for a niche class that does not allow a full slick.

good tires, just a tad pricey.

Wish I could run 15s, theyre so much cheaper in 15 inch sizes lol

Nittos are the same, I think I paid 150 a tire for my 15 inch 555rs

But yea, in these bigger 17/18 DR sizes, 300-350 a tire is retarded.

wow that's madly insane. Guess it just goes back to that old saying, you gotta pay to play lol

Thats an understatement, I cant stand paying those prices for street tires that last a while even.

I was able to score a set of dunlop sp sport maxx 305s for like 400 bucks a set, off tire rack would have been 700+!!!

Insane.

MT ET2s are worlds better than NT555r. i compare it like this. the traction jump from street tire to a NT555r is the same as a NT555r to a MT. my MT's only lasted me a summer though.

Personally I run 555r's on my FR's and MT's on the MT drag wheels. The nittos are a great tire for the street and you can't beat the price.
