Mustang Seat Question

I have an all black interior, and i really want to have my seatbelts red.

Looking something like this:

I have 2 ways of thinking about doing this, but im not entirely sure on either.
The first idea i had was to replace the seatbelts with some racing harnesses.

Do i have to have the holes in the seats?

is it possible to put the racing harnesses on these seats (the ones i own)

I don't have the money to change the seats, so please don't ask.

My second method i was thinking about was just painting my seatbelts.
however, is there a special spraypaint/substance i need?
and is there a way to remove the seatbelts, or do i have to spray them in the car, which would include me covering most parts and components.

Any tips/advice?

Yes you can run 5pt seat belts Or 4pt you need a harness bar or you could mount em too the floor. I'm running stock seats with 5pt belts. But I have a MM 6 pt roll cage in the car

sure you could but I am sure its not track legal if the car is remotely fast. Ever considered those covers that just slide over them and make the stock belts padded?

That's actually pretty cool. I was thinking of doing something similar, got my idea from Porsche basically. Maybe you can find a way to adapt Porsche stuff on there.

Those are gay as hell, especially on a stock seat belt, where they serve no purpose what so ever. Every time I see one, it takes me back to 2000 / 2001 when these things were the latest craze, and every high school kid on his accord / civic had one.

I'll post a pic later won't help you much you have nothing to mount the belts to. Mine run on either side of the head rest and wrap around my roll cage bar.

If you were talking to me about my belts being legal they are legal the way they are installed in my car. Bolting them to the floor is not legal tho

yes to the roll cage would be find but he didn't mention having one so I was assuming he wanted to do something different.

yea the covers are not my thing either but then neither is a red belt in a black interior. They would both stand out but only because they will not match much else inside.

my neighbor put a harness in on his stock seats. As already stated, not track legal because its bolted to the floor with the seat bolts. However, it did make a huge difference as far as moving around. I don't remember how it's routed exactly, I would have to look.
