today i got in my car and i usually dont use my ac but it was raining so i couldnt have my windows down, anyway i turned my ac on and all i got was hot air, i stopped by autozone to get some freon and as i was putting it in i could hear it leaking out, my header had finally burned a hole in my ac line, i knew when i put them in i shouldve wrapped some kinda heat shield around the lines but i was too lazy to get back under there to do it, now summer is about to start and i dont have ac, this is the gonna be a bad week

=] Welcome to the party. Good luck on the fix.
I have to get my car looked at for overheating with the A/c ON and the cars engine not getting hot during the winter.

i was thinking about ditchin the ac and jus getting one of those pulleys to replace the compressor, getting one of those would be cheaper than getting new lines, a friend of mine did it when his compressor locked up and he said he felt a little difference in acceleration

Nope, i would just get it fixed. Unless your car is a TRACK car.. it doesnt make sense to do that. Just wait till you want to take a nice drive in 80 degree weather and burn up in your car.

Motion seconded. If you drive around any significant others, or work somewhere where it matters if you come in covered in sweat, AC is the must have accessory on that belt

I agree with everyone also. Just snag up the lines from 94droptop and put them in. The expensive part is going to be the freon.

I am getting ready to move there May 31st in Norfolk. I never use the AC in my car unless our 110 pd Malamute is in the car and she has to have the AC
