Ya, so the "quick release" fuel lines that go in and out of the fuel filter on our cars (great idea Ford!!!) decided to pop off in the middle of the race, and when those brakes are glowing red, it doesnt mix good with pressurized fuel. So it melted off the fuel lines, (and brake lines!!!) so at 110+ mph i had practicly no brakes going into the pits. Lets just say, im glad i can downshift!, lol

That sucks but at least it was something that can be replaced in a couple hours rather than something like engine detonation.

Thanks Guys,

The damage wasnt to bad, .. all the brake lines, control arm bushings, and fuel lines. It melted all the spray on anti-corrosion (sound deadning) material on the inside, but im just thankful that it wasnt worse.

I was going through turn 9 on Infenion (sears point) raceway, and all of a sudden the engine bogged, then died.. So stupid me, (thinking i blew the engine) started to crank the engine over while coasting at over 100 mph, which only fed more fuel out of the fuel pump.

Thankfully i was ok, (and everyone else) other than smoke inhalation.. And ya, i got a pretty cool signature pic out of it!, lol
