why not buy a L ^-^

Tonight I was over my buddys house sitting on his back porch when I heard a loud exhaust, and what appeared to be a whine. Next thing you know, a white L flys past his house with a loud ass blower whine. It was so sexy. I think I might look into one lol

Today I was cleaning out the garage, and I pull out the mustang, and see puddle of tranny fluid. Im like aaah great, so I pull it into the driveway, and its still dripping tranny fluid. I check the fluid and its basically empty. The past few weeks it smelled when I would go in reverse like something was burning, and it would like clank when I put it in drive. I think its about to die :(

On a good note, Im starting a full time job tuesday and my dad said he will cosign on a car with me :naughty: :naughty:

When your car starts to talk to you that is the time to look into what the problem might be. Waiting only makes the solution more expensive.

At your age you are going to go $19,000 into debt? What will the payments be like on that and for how long? 4 years? 5 years? Will the insurance be higher as well? And then you will need to have first and last month's rent and a security deposit when you move out of home. You need to buy things like plates, silverware, towels, blankets, pots and pans, lamps, all those things that are handy around the house already. This is not the time to take on a debt like this.

Put a grand or two into your car and you will be good to go. You are at that magical age where everything reverts to your responsibility and you're going to be moving out anytime now, if you haven't already. Just something to think about because starting out at the bottom of a financial hole is NO fun and affects you for the next 5-10 years.

I like Steve. He has useful information and what seems like experience to back it up.

Wow, thanks for the compliments everyone.

Yeah, I have some "experience", probably more than 90% of the people here. I am 43 BUT I still feel and act like I am 19. I still forget when I am around teenagers (my kid's friends, I was also an Assistant Scoutmaster) that I am not one of them.

I can't remember what happened yesterday but I can go into great detail about what happened 20 years ago, go figure. I've been there and done that about a lot of things. I can relate that experience to today, which most younger people don't believe, my kids included (almost 17, 18 1/2, and almost 22 years old). Yeah, things were different when I was 19, but there are also some things that stay the same, like those things that your grandparents said to your parents, and then they said to you, and couldn't believe they were repeating their parents, and then you will say to your own kids.....and hate that you are repeating your parents!! In those moments your brain interrupts you and says "Remember when your parents said this to you and you didn't believe it?"

I am SOOO glad that you decided not to dig that hole, Fets! :thumb: I pointed out to my son that when he goes out that door on his own that it is a long drop down from what you are used to. Everyone, myself included, is surprised to find out how many things you need to get that were always handy at home. Now, for the first time in your life, you are going to buy a lamp and actually be excited about it too.
