My car + some Boost

So Im pretty sure Im gonna get a blower within the next year or so..

Just wondering how you guys think my car will react...I have pretty much every bolt on for the car and I plan on running 8-10 psi intercooled centri.

My car ran 14.1 at 102 mph...spinning with a 2.25 60 foot on street tires. I would imagine with some sticky tires I could be pretty deep into the 13s..

What kind of numbers do you think my car would throw down at the strip?

I was thinking with some slicks I could be deep into the 12s with a trap speed over 110.

PI cams are decent plower cams, throw some in with a Vortec and you should be able to see the bottom 12's pretty easily.

Thats pretty much the exact same setup im running. Full bolt ons, Vortech sq trim, paxton intercooler, about 11psi. I see 370rwhp, 380tq but keep in mind thats through an automatic. I am doing cams next and am hoping to see around 410rwhp. Never been to the track so i couldn't tell you what she runs.

Well to make it easy here is my full mod list:

Vortech SQ trim with supporting fuel/spark upgrades
MPH boost pipe
3.12 pulley
paxton intercooler
vortech mini race bypass
pi intake manifold
slp longtubes
slp off road x pipe
slp catback
accufab 70mm throttle body/plenum


I think thats about it motor wise...All this is tuned by SCT

thanks for the props!

And no i dont have cams yet, will be ordering custom grind cams from MPH in the next week or two. The 370rwhp/380 is through everything you see listed...still running stock non pi heads/cams!!

ok, gotcha...I remember reading about you getting new cams or something..

But yea we would probably be similar in dyno numbers.

What kind of boost you running? 9 psi?

I plan on running 10 psi intercooled.

more like 11-12psi...im running this much because i planned ahead, knowing that the cams will drop me another 2-3psi. smart huh? :D

ohh..haha..So Im assuming its safe to run 11-12 psi with the npi heads or what?

Ive heard its safe untill 450 whp.

well i would never run more than what i am, but i know its not boost that kills these motors...it's the hp limit.

3700 lbs.
380 hp (does not specify whp or chp)

12.44 @107.72mph

I believe it.

+1! Just make sure you have the supporting mods to be able to handle the blower and its boost!

Yep, your basic LIghtning 42lb set-up is sufficient, 255 lph pump, and at 400 rwhp, ur good.

Question, This dude was running the a pulley supposed to be good for 15 psi at 6k..

Ive heard that the long tubes will reduce boost by like 2 psi.

Maybe the pi intake will reduce the boost.


I hope with that pulley to be no higher than 12 psi.
