Well after scrambling to get some color in the bay before I left for vacation, my painter hit me with a nice christmas suprise. He went up to my shop and wet sanded, recleared and buffed out the entire bay. Heres the pics he sent me yesterday as a christmas suprise. Looks dam sweet, just cant wait to get back home to see it in person and finally start stuffing it with goodies lol.

Holy crap! I'd be afraid to re-assemble it, too perfect!

Lol Im actually used to it as the previous version was almost the same. Im probabbly the only guy who wears gloves not for the purpose off getting my hands dirty but to keep me from fingure printing up the bay and parts haha

no mistaking that for primer anymore. I need a painting friend like that bad....

Scott dont we all...

Dang. Like Goldmember said, i'd be terrified to put everything back in. That's better than the paint on the outside of my car haha.

I have to break the bad news though, that is another place to keep clean/waxed and shiney from now on.... And probably the last time you can reach it all with a buffing wheel fer a while too!

Im used to it as I used to wash and wax the previous version every other week. I wont be able to hit it with a wheel anymore but with the minimal amount of stuff going back in, it will be way eaiser to keep clean than the previous version thats for sure.

Tony thats how it all starts...you clean one area, step back and realize the rest off it now looks like crap and so the snowball begins. In my case I just needed to cover a few holes from the first time I did the bay as somethings I didnt do the first time I wanted to get done before I dropped the new set up back in. I also had to refill some of the holes that I used previously and wont be using this time around. Even after this second go around there are a few things I missed but time was of the issue and I just couldnt justify holding up the project for those few small things.

You have to remember this isnt my daily and she sees under 4k miles a year, so it never really gets dirty. Most of the time she sits in the shop collecting dust. On top of that being heavy into the show scene this is the kind of stuff that needs to be done to compete at the level Im at. Bolt ons and nice paint isnt enough to bring home the hardware consistently at the major events. Im also in the quest for two more mag features before I retire her. With a bit of luck I might be able to meet those goals this time around.
