I took my car to be dyno tuned this week. got there dropped the car off went and had lunch. everything going great untill I heard him say thats it. on I guess he got the base tune done but on the first hp pull it broke the belt inside my powerdyne :BangHead: It made 268.4 hp and 289.8 ft lbs with the belt broke inside. I geuss thats not bad for a stock bottom end and heads. the bad news is it trashed the supercharger. it has shaft play now and the bigger gear inside that the belt turns has damage to the teeth. this sucks!!!

Powerdynes are good blowers as long as you use them for what they're made for...obviously a gear driven blower has more life in it then a belt driven.

There are a few companies out there that rebuild powerdynes and do a great job at it.

man im sorry to hear that! gives u a better reason to go bigger(more psi) this time :D

yep, my thoughts exactly. i'm sending it to a place that will rebuild and make to be better than a t-trim. it will be a new ball game now.

only company ive heard of is 02forceperformance.com

928 motorsports does all the belt powerdynes. they are going to rebuild mine but it will be 10 times the blower than before. when it comes back the only thing that will be the same is the case. they say it produce 12 to 14 psi easy and turn 60k rpm all day long with no problems. boost is supposed to come on at least 1k sooner than before.
