that looks sharp, maybe do the reverse lights too to give the whole rear a sinister look.

I have been really thinking hard about whether or not I should do the reverse lights.

put some tape over the back up lights and spray it, you will be happy later you did.

I also recomend a good quality uv clear coat to protect them for a long time(did my tail lights 3 yrs ago) and give them a super shiney factory look.

I was living in phoenix when I did mine and went to a large automotive paint supply store. When I talked to guy and told him what I was doing while asking about the VHT, he said he had something better. He sold me a black candy paint that is made for fiberglass and the clear to protect it.

Wet sanding and buffing will outlast any clear coat, and will smooth out the lens so it doesn't Have the texture of orange peel.

You're still better off clearcoating it to protect the niteshades coat.

agreed. to keep the UV rays off the color coat. that way you could always respray it with clear and buff the clear

when you wetsand and buff them, it works the niteshade into the material of the lens. It is not physically possible to get the tint off my lenses. Plus, clear coat is just going to further pit the illumination of the light. Wet sanding and buffing removes the rough texture that distorts the light output.

so you're saying wet sanding the top layer of the VHT is going to push the bottom layers INTO the plastic lens? I don't really buy that, besides wet sanding and buffing the base coat is not going to give you the finish of a sanded and polished clear coat over the tint. Clearcoat is not really going to affect light output, and you're going to end up with a better, more durable finish with clearcoat.
