My new custom plate

I always wanted a custom liscense plate, and even though my car will not see the road until at least march/april, my registration was getting ready to expire on it, so I figured I might as well. My car will probably see roughly 440rwhp, but it will still be "slow" compared to a lot of cars out there, so
I figured why not just call it like it is:

(RICEATR) nice, I miss my custom plate but Delaware offers black/white porcelain plates so I had to go with one of them cause they are so fresh and clean.

^ Those do look pretty cool. The standard issue Kansas tag is a light blue with dark blue letters/numbers... That might have looked
ok on the future sonic blue, but I think the "sunset" colors will stand out quite a bit, much like the rest of the car in this area.

They offered a couple custom backgrounds when I ordered my plates, but they were an additional $45 and I didn't like any of them enough to pay the extra

Thats a cool plate and it could mean it either way. you think its slow but the guy you spank might think you are just being funny. kinda like calling a fat guy tiny or slim. lol

I've always wanted a custom plate but the cost of it every year always steered me away.
I can understand the extra cost to have it made the first time but to continue to charge the same amount every year afterwards is not justifiable.

Yup.. Born and raised.. There are only a handful of Kansas-ians on here.. 94droptop and whty98 are the only ones (other than yourself) that come to mind.

I believe it is different state to state.. Here you pay the 1 time extra expense of the custom plate, then just the regular renewing fee after that...
Funny story actually, a buddy of mine used to own a 2006ish Dodge Ram SRT-10, and he got a custom plate that read "8POINT3"... Well he happens to change cars about once a year (bad habbit IMO) and traded it in on a Nissan Maxima SE-R.. well he put the "8POINT3" plate on the Maxima, and when time came to renew
registration, it would have cost him around $60 to keep the "8POINT3" on the Maxima, or $135 to order a new, NON-custom standard issue plate for the car...
So now, he still has the "8POINT3" plate on a car equiped with a 3.5 liter..... I give him sh*t aaallll the time... "Nissan make v-10s now? or You having coil issues? sounds like it's only running on 6 of those 10 cylinders......

Yeah I work with droptop at O'Reillys, I'm actually in Lawrence alot. I think we need to get a photo shoot after Cody(droptop) finishes his changes, and the s/c'er gets done on the cobra.
