Some of you might have saw I got my steeda sports and tokico blues in the mail 3 days early, so I installed the shocks and springs out back. I didn't bother cleaning anything up, purely because a torque arm will be on its way in a month, as well as installing my panhard and control arms later on. So I'm going to wait. However, i went ahead and redid the front suspension on the car yesterday. Other then the brakes, it'll be staying the same for a good while. I just made the brakes look better, because before they were ghetto painted red, so i used my wheel and a scotch brite and took it all off. Painted everything, shined it all up. It looks decent for 20 bucks in paint, and a little bit of time. Like I said, the rotors and calipers will be replaced soon anyway, so I wasn't to worried about making them perfect. Check it out.

After ordering about a 1000 bucks in parts the last two weeks, i'm getting pretty tight, so i have to recoupe and then go after it some more. Once the surging idle's fixed, i'll probably tighten all the last bolts and start driving it, hopefully in time for mustang week. I took the time to repaint it all, clean it, etc. simply because I want a car as nice as say Pauls, Thorco's, Dalamars, Daves, etc. the list goes on. I obviously don't have the money to put into my cars like they can, being as i'm just out of highschool.. lol. Let me know what you think, it's a start :dunno:

Looks nice man. I'll be doing something similar (albeit a bit more elaborate) with my new front suspension for my notch here shortly. :)

Hmmm... I wish i had money to spend on my car... she hasn't been driven but maybe 50 miles in the last 2 months, and needs a bath, needs a tune up, needs shocks and struts... I think i'll keep my son, and sell my wife to fund the next phase... LOL
Looks good man, but the whole not being V anymore through me off till i saw the Red car in the picture... LOL

So do you have two 95's? Seeing black in one picture and red in the other has me a little confused... :dunno:

Thanks folks :) Well we had a problem, dave can attest to it as well. People started to call me Five instead of the letter V, so it kinda got annoying.. "What up five!"... :rant2: anywho, yes that was my dads lightning, the same one Daveface was going to get. We sold it a while ago. The red car is the 98, the black car, the one getting the suspension redone is a 95. The red car will be going soon, and i'll be driving the 95 instead. My parents are definately unique in that they still ride harleys, go racing, and do alot of things that they did when they were younger, even though they are parents of two kids in college. Most of my friends around here have dads and moms that are your A typical drive an economy car and enjoy pretty basic things. Around here we need racing to keep us alive.. so were definately a different kind of family. Our back yards full of car parts, slicks and drag radials are everywhere, and we have two other mustangs in the garage. Like I said, definately different.. lol

I'm definately looking forward to seeing that. A clean suspension is oh so nice to have when you need to work on it. I'll get down and dirty with any part of the car if its greasy when it's the first time I work on that particular portion, but when i'm finished it's always cleaner so I don't have to deal with it again.

looks good steven, I was a little confused by the screen name too :hammer:

thanks for the props on my car's cleanliness. gotta agree with dave though, I wouldn't exactly say I've got money floating around. I like to think that I've worked pretty hard for what I've got. oh and I feel sort of awkward calling someone by name if they don't know mine... feel free to call me Clay if you'd prefer.

Will do :thumb: Money isn't everything, unless you can afford to pay someone to do nice work on your car lol. Your car definately deserves props for being as clean as it is. Yours, Paul's, and Dalamars really are what I hope to have oneday, but I do have a problem with the fact i'll want to drive it everyday, therefore making it hard for it to say nice.. lol.

that's another big part of it. I can't think of one thing on this car that I haven't done myself, or in the least done with the help of my pops or a couple friends. I know a few things but I've learned a lot along the way. Def a good way to save money by doing the work yourself. Heck in the past 6 months alone I've installed a new clutch, intake, and blower... all of which I never thought I would be able to do just a few years ago.

You'd be amazed what you could do with just a few drinks in you and a little bit of help.. lol. I enjoy working on my cars, and saying that I fixed them or modified it. I can hardly afford parts at the moment, so having anyone touch the car in any way would be very unlikely. I'm slightly OCD to about others working on my car, I have to stand there and watch them, and that pistes them off. But it's definately worth the time and aggrivation in the end when you do things yourself, you sort of have to get over yourself and be accepting to learning new things from someone, even if you don't want to admit it. :hammer:
