So in january I bought the boost brothers kit and I am finally installing it. I know it's not the greatest kit on the market but it will do for now. I'll upgrade when I have more money, but anyhow here are some pictures.

I'm not sure if I can mount the maf after the air temp sensor or not. So if I can do this let me know if not I'll find out. I have to cut some piping because I don't have stock parts but none the less it's coming together.

I removed my abs and ran a t off the front line coming from the proportioning valve to the front brakes. I plan on taking it to bob kurgen in clinton, IL to get it tuned. I have to get a better fuel pump. I think I'm going to replace my rear main seal, motor mounts, and tranny mounts first though. Is it a pain to replace the rear main seal? It's leaking oil so it has to be replaced.

I thought it was a tad low myself, I'll just have to fix that later. It's up pretty much as far as it goes. It's a pretty big intercooler.

rear main seal isn't too bad to change. You gotta pull the trans/bellhousing/etc out. if you get a seal puller it makes life super easy, just drill a hole through part of the seal, put a screw in it, then just pull it out. putting the new one in is pretty simple as well. just use the old seal to hit it in evenly.

T67 is the size. I have the ford y302 aluminum gt40 heads with crane 1.72 roller rockers and upgraded springs with ford racing gaskets, Steeda #19 cam, cobra intake, 3.73 ford racing gears soon to drop down to 3.27, smog delete, a/c delete, bbk 70mm throttle body, bbk short shifter. I may shoot for 10 lbs of boost. I only have a 6lb spring for the waste gate so i'll have to upgrade that. Basically I'm gonna run it until I blow the tranny or the block then upgrade. Gonna invest in a nice garrett, or turbonetics turbo at some point. I'm not to sure what kind of power I'll make. I'd like my car to run atleast low 12's high 11's. but I don't know what it's capable of.

dam man thats a sick setup! deff you can prob make about 370-400rwhp on pump with 5-10 psi with that setup and prob run low 12's easy, maybe 400+ with more tunning and with slicks / good 60 fts get in the 11;s but that might be alot of stress on stock axles tranny motor / rear end. NICE SETUP! keep us updated man!

Oh I also forgot that I have eibach pro kit springs, and quite a bit of weight reduction. No dogbone, rear seats, spare tire. no material in the back at all accept the cloth lining on the roof.

you do realize that if the block decides to let loose the heads and cam that are on the motor now will more then likely be junk

my friends modular 4.6 put down 429 at 11 lbs all stock, you should be able to tune that to 410 and be safe. We have locals running stock blocks with 575 hp and have been running their set up for years.

Yea, didn't really think about that. The guy at ford tech support said 10 lbs would be safe to run.

Re: My turbo kit install thread. Pics*

I have this kit on my 1994 cobra. Its a hell of a lot of fun to drive. Im only at 6 PSI rihgt now as well. I have the eibach pro kit as well on my car. I didnt like how low the intercooler was hanging. I scraped on some fairly might road height changes. So i moved my intercooler up about 2 inches higher and now it is perfect. I dont think boost brothers really accounted for how low the intercooler would hang on a lowered car. Other than that and the very very vague install guide i like my kit a lot. I am writing my own istall guide for anyone who wants to buy this kit and needs a better install guide

Masterpower makes good turbos and arn't nearly as pricey as Garrett or Turbonetics. Those 2 are top of the line though..

Something like a Masterpower T-70 P trim .96 housing would work well for a 302 mustang.

They are ~$450 from B&G Turbo Kits.

Re: My turbo kit install thread. Pics*

im not liking the charge pipe/intercooler location. its very poorly done. This cound have been done better if they redesigned the kit to use a same side inlet, top to bottom flow intercooler, and clocked the compressor housing.

ill give the design of the kit a C-

I ended up moving the intercooler up more so now it's higher now. It has a lot more clearance now.
