So my car is Bright Tangerine. Only made one year and only 829 made. Supposedly most came with black interior (citation needed) and mine has grey. Here's what it looked like when my friend bought it (minus the 4x4 stance)

and here's what it looks like after he rattle canned the hood, roof, and trunk replicating a 70 Boss 302 Can Am racer.

as mustang enthusiasts and purists, what do you think of this? I kinda like it because of the classic throwback, an that it makes a rare color stand out even more, but it IS a semi-rare color. Either way I'm having it professionally painted soon and just trying to gauge opinions. I'm torn. I'd also be putting the spoiler back on if I went all BT.

That black is really poorly done, so whatever you do: get rid of that.

Personally I would keep it the original color, you have something special. If you want to mess with paints, buy one that has a common color.

I really like the white wheels with the orange.

I hate to say this, (because I really love black hoods), but on the non-Edge sn95's I prefer a solid color with other black (or other color) accents only. But hey it's your car, paint it the way you want!

Really love the stock color, not so big on the black hood and roof. Imho it doesn't fit the look of these cars

I think with a professional paint job and some new wheels the black would look good. Just my opinion tho, I prefer the route less traveled in the Mustang world

Ok I'm making it completely orange again. It's be one thing if I was trying to make it different (ie white, red, black, etc), but it already was. I really like the white wheels so ill keep those, But I think the black has got to go. Just wanted to get some more opinions from people who are die hard mustang fans. Hopefully next spring she'll come out of the garage with a new look.
Thanks guys!

Good decision :) also new cobra style headlights will do wonders for the look of the car imo

Cobra style has a clear front on them instead of the how the stock v6/gt is more frosted.
I would recommend against the halo lights in general, the output is way less than stock headlights from what I've heard. I know a guy who bought an sn95 with the halo lights from AM and hated them/their output so much that he bought my old stock lights from me.

Definitely have the whole thing painted orange, if you want black later just buy some plastidip or have the roof done in vinyl and you'll be good to go.

People keep telling me about the plastidip. I don't think I've seen one done. Ill have to look it up.

The most recent stuff I have seen on it was about how the clear under it was hurt. Not sure if it was not waxed enough or how long it was on but I still have a hard time thinking that it doesn't do ANYTHING to the paint below it.

I like the bodycolor roof/hood as well.

White wheels look really good IMO, I could go either way on the hood, not a huge fan of it with everything else being stock. New headlights would make the wheels pop too.

should get the hood repainted tangerine and have the roof repainted to. then get the roof vinyl wrapped gloss black. it'd look sick and isn't permanent.

The black isn't a throwback to the can am racers in my opinion just because our cars look nothing like the 70's. I'm glad you're going back to all orange, should look sick.

Two tone the car, black on the roof and a pillars, rest orange and it'd look sick. The white wheels look sick aswell, maybe a S281 on the trunk body color to tie it all together. Love the orange color though, pretty cool
